Biography:
Joeri van Ommeren is a visual storyteller who lets his buildings do the talking. He is driven by the possibilities and the challenges that a location offers and always looks to find solutions that transcend the question. He believes architecture is a tool to shape our surroundings to fit society’s needs. The extraordinary is what draws his attention and his specialty is building complex middle-sized and large residential buildings. When the conditions match his purpose he also embarks on ‘specials’: projects and private homes that require an exceptional adaptation or deliver great value to the community.
VanOmmeren Architects is situated in Amsterdam. The studio works with a small and dynamic team but can easily scale its production when needed. In the past Joeri has drawn experience from working for different architects such as Santiago Calatrava and has teamed up with others like Cie. and Thijs Asselbergs.
