Villa Design Concept Workshop: Second Edition

The second in-person “Villa Design Concept” workshop, organized by Villa Magazine and hosted by Mado Architecture Office, took place in June and July 2025. Over three immersive weeks, the program gathered architects, designers, and students for a dynamic exploration of conceptual design. Through collaborative critiques, discussions, and guided development, participants transformed their ideas into compelling design concepts.

Led by Amirabbas Aboutalebi—architect and editor-in-chief of Villa Magazine—and Maziar Dolatabadi, architect and founder of Mado Architecture Office, the workshop offered invaluable mentorship and hands-on learning. The culminating session saw all participants present their projects to an expert evaluation committee, with Villa Shizavo by Hashem Babaei recognized as the winning project for its imaginative approach and innovative integration of concept and reality.
