Villa magazine, celebrated the unveiling of its highly anticipated 13th issue on June 19th, 2022. The event, held at the prestigious "Farhangian Villa," brought together renowned Iranian architects, academicians, arts and architectural researchers, and credible construction brand managers. The highlight of the event was a panel discussion featuring esteemed industry professionals. Architect and the editor-in-chief of Villa magazine, AmirAbbas Aboutalebi, delivered captivating speeches before unveiling the printed edition of this issue.
During the panel discussion, Ali Kermanian emphasized the need for legislation and balance in villa construction to mitigate the environmental impacts on rural areas. Kamran Heirati acknowledged the challenges faced when clients' requests conflict with eco-friendly principles and stressed the importance of finding solutions to address these issues.
Mehrdad ZavarehMohammadi proposed the conversion of old private property villas into public spaces, highlighting the potential of villas to serve as breathing spaces within cities.
Afshin Farzin praised Villa magazine for its role as a professional reading and dialect of an architectural style that demands special attention in the country’s status quo. He also pointed out the negative correlation between population growth and villa construction quality, urging architects to find a balance between the earth, materials, consumerism, space, and form.
Firouz Firouz drew attention to the importance of gardens and their role in promoting nature and emotional well-being within cities. He commended Villa magazine for initiating discussions on these vital topics. Finally, Kourosh Rafiei echoed the sentiments of his peers and highlighted Villa magazine as an ideal platform for fostering dialogue among contemporary Iranian architects.
