Story:
Villa Magazine editorial:
Villa Dowlatabadi is located near the coastal city of Iran, Nowshahr while leveraging the sloping terrain surrounded by Mountain vegetation. The elevated property is oriented to the longitudinal axis, connecting the villa with the sloping surrounding. The terrace opens towards the mountainous landscape allowing the viewer to enjoy a panoramic view.
The initial idea was to consider the volumetric curve-like composition as a design strategy in contrast with the sloping triangle shape bed. Simplicity in plans, yet the complexity of the villa volume is all to make this project appealing.
The basic design principle is evident with the close-outside-open-inside concept, concealing itself from the outside and opening the most inside to benefit natural direct and indirect lighting, raining, and natural cross-ventilation through spaces inside.
