Theoretical foundations of BRIDGE VILLA
Design Objective:
The project aims to integrate the fundamental values of traditional Iranian architecture with contemporary design principles ,creating a harmonius balance between culture identity, modern living requirements, and climate-responsive spatial qualities.
Bridge Villa
In designing the Bridge Villa, we were confronted with a fundamental challenge: establishing a dialogue between tradition and modernity through a technology-driven approach. It was from this challenge that both the concept and the name of the project, “Bridge,” emerged.
The integration of the essence and genetic characteristics of Iranian architectural elements into a modern and minimalist architectural framework was the primary objective of this project.
Traditional Iranian Elements (Applied in the Project)
1. The Persian Garden (Bagh-e Irani)
The Persian Garden is more than just a landscape; it is a manifestation of "Paradise on Earth." This architectural typology is based on a delicate balance between nature and human geometry.
• Axiality and Symmetry: Every Persian garden is designed along a main axis (the "Pass"), creating a strong sense of direction and hierarchy that leads the eye toward the main structure.
• Water Management: Water is the soul of the garden. It is used not only for irrigation but also for cooling the air and creating rhythmic sounds through fountains and turquoise-tiled stream
2. The Koushk (Iranian Pavilion)
The Koushk is the jewel of the Persian garden. It is a small, often centralized building located at the intersection of the main axes of the garden.
• Centrality: The Koushk is typically placed at the heart of the garden or at the highest point of the main axis to provide the best panoramic views.
3.MASHRABIYE
Drawing inspiration from this traditional architectural element, we integrated movable louvers into the project’s modern architectural language. Beyond enhancing shading, privacy, and façade dynamism, these louvers allow the façade to transform through different operational scenarios throughout the day, creating a kinetic façade. This strategy reflects the project’s technology-driven design approach and its effort to bridge traditional concepts with contemporary innovation

The structure of the louvers consists of 80-centimeter panels detailed as follows: the louvers operate by rotating around their own axis at specific times. after completing a 90-degree rotating they move along the X-axis and slide to the side. finally the panels
4. The Reflecting Pool:
The pool's placement directly in front of the villa is a classic Persian technique. It serves two functions:
Visual: It creates a reflection of the building, doubling its impact (similar to the Chehel Sotoun logic).
Climatic: It acts as a primary source of moisture. As air moves over the water toward the villa, it undergoes evaporative cooling, which is essential for the villa's microclimate.
