The villa is located in Isfahan province, Ashkavand Village, divided into two parts with two distinct approaches,
Within the 1120 m2 plot, the plan resolved to a ground coverage of almost half of the site area, leaving the space for a generous garden.
The underground structure and U shape orientation of the villa remind the seasonal function of traditional houses in this district.
The courtyard is functioning as an element to unite the different spaces of the villa in a modern way.
Inspiring the architectural patterns in traditional-Vernacular houses of Iran, the central courtyard, gowdal-baghche (sunken garden) in villa Ashkavand is employed in order to conserve energy and reduce environmental pollution.
