let us continue looking into the future of architecture in Iran and beyond. Let us embrace challenges, bring innovative solutions to concerns and hazards, and create a sustainable and beautiful world for generations to come.
Distinguished guests,
It is an honor to be standing here as the first winner of this prestigious award among over 550 participants. As I looked at the other projects, each with its own unique challenges, I couldn't help but reflect on the future of architecture in Iran and the world.
Architecture is not just about creating beautiful structures; it is about envisioning a better future for our society. The winning project of my office, "Villa in the desert," holds a special place in my heart as it was designed nearly 20 years ago. This project taught me the importance of asking questions within our Iranian context and finding innovative and futuristic solutions to address our concerns and hazards.
Today, we face contemporary hazards to our environment, and as architects, we bear a great responsibility towards them. It is a topic that I feel deeply passionate about whenever I discuss it. We cannot ignore the impact our designs have on nature; instead, we must strive to create sustainable and environmentally friendly structures.
The Villa Magazine award serves as a platform for us to tackle these challenges head-on and bring theoretical ideas into practice and real life. It encourages us to think beyond conventional boundaries and push the limits of what architecture can achieve.
Tonight, as we celebrate this achievement, let us also remember that this award represents more than just recognition for my work. It symbolizes a collective effort by architects around the world who are dedicated to shaping a better future through their designs.
I would like to express my gratitude to Villa Magazine for organizing this event and providing architects with an opportunity to showcase their talent. I would also like to thank my team at Firouz Firouz Architects for their unwavering support throughout this journey.
In conclusion, let us continue looking into the future of architecture in Iran and beyond. Let us embrace challenges, bring innovative solutions to concerns and hazards, and create a sustainable and beautiful world for generations to come.
Thank you.
Firouz Firouz
