The 3rd biennial villa award

Villa Architecture Magazine invites Iranian architects, designers, interior designers, landscape architects, urban planners, and architecture students to submit their works for the 3rd Biennial Villa Magazine Architecture Award. The award recognizes outstanding projects in the field of architecture, focusing on built and unbuilt villas, experimental houses, and future residential prototypes.

Eligibility

The award is open to Iranian architects, designers, interior designers, landscape architects, urban planners, and architecture students. 

Submission Guidelines

Participants can submit projects including suburb villas, urban villas, semi-urban villas, pavilions, small interventions, theoretical explorations, or works intended to be built. This year’s focus includes villas, solo houses, experimental designs, landscape interventions, and more.

Submission Requirements

Two A3 horizontal sheets with plans, sections, facades, sketches, renderings, and a brief description (not exceeding 250 words).
One A4 vertical Word document of project description in Farsi and English with project information (Principal architect*, design team, villa area, site area)  and contact information (email, phone number* and instagram or website page). 

Ensure the entry reference code appears on the top-right of each sheet.

Important: Digital entries only—no hard copies required to reduce environmental impact.

Limitations

There are no limitations on the number of previous submissions or the time frame for project completion.
All eligible built & unbuilt projects are welcome, regardless of when they were designed or submitted previously.

Criteria

An independent jury of prominent architects will evaluate submissions based on:
Innovation and originality.
Eco design principles and environmental considerations.
Aesthetic quality and visual appeal.
Effective use of materials and resources.
Proportion, scale, and overall design coherence.

+ Receiving 6 digit code: Dec 03, 2025
+ 2nd Email Submission deadline: Dec 05, 2025
+ Jury: Dec 08 - 10, 2025
+ Announcement of winners: Dec 16, 2025

Fees
No submission fee. All entries are free for the Villa Magazine Award submission.
