I feel that Bauhaus is Bauhaus;
we architects, build and work for our people and environment,
and they reciprocatively build us back.
The Bauhaus existence in Iran revolutionized creative and artistic thinking among Iranian art and architecture society until the Islamic revolution of Iran happened in 1979.
Now and after 43 years of receiving the hidden influences of the Bauhaus, it is evoking a powerful emotion in the new generation of
Iranian architects and artists.
Amir Abbas Aboutalebi
How many people know that Bauhaus has left so many great hidden treasures for the world in Iran?
This section intends to propose a challenge about the Bauhaus’s movement in Iran. The aim is to motivate researchers to investigate different aspects of the Bauhaus movement in Iran and to raise critical discussion about the artistic, social, cultural and technical challenges of this great world heritage in Iran;
+ How many people know that Bauhaus has left so many great hidden treasures for the world in Iran?
+ Why Bauhaus is so important to contemporary Iranian architecture?
+ How many pioneer Iranian architects were affected by the Bauhaus style?
+ How many Bauhaus masterpieces focusing on “villa projects” were built in Iran?
+ What is the role of Bauhaus in contemporary Iranian art & architecture?
+ How was Bauhaus culture in Iran before the Pahlavi period?
+ How is Bauhaus life in Iran during the Islamic period?
The villa magazine will examine the question: How many people know that Bauhaus has left so many great hidden treasures for the world, focusing on “villas, gardens, and single residences” in Iran?
The publication will offer a platform to facilitate future lines of inquiry in bringing about the importance of Bauhaus culture and Bauhaus life in contemporary Tehran and Iran.
So far, there have been very few investigations, researches, campaigns, public, legal and governmental efforts to this incredible world heritage.
This effort will debate the above questions and invites contributions that conceptualize the particular state of “the role of Bauhaus in contemporary Iranian architecture” and discusses concrete case studies that highlight a historical dimension of the Bauhaus style of “villas, gardens, residences, and single houses” masterpieces in Iran.
We seek support based on Cultural variables, Sharing, Adaptability and Interactions to promote and develop an awareness of Bauhaus ideology to the Iranian architectural society and increase Iranian architecture students community access to participation and improvement.
