Biography:

Yonder - Architektur und Design is a studio for architecture and design and was established in 2011 by Benedikt Bosch and Katja Knaus. Yonder explores space, material and construction and especially their interaction. This forms a solid base in order to create unusual and innovative living environments. They do not only shape the residents perception of space, but also influence their social togetherness within.

 

Prof. Katja Knaus

Katja Knaus studied architecture and design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and with Enric Miralles in Barcelona. From 2000 to 2010 she worked for Behnisch Architects on competition entries such as the German Oceanographic Museum in Stralsund and took over the project management for the house in the house of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and the Marco Polo Tower in Hamburg. In 2011 she founded Yonder - Architektur und Design with Benedikt Bosch. She has been teaching since 2004. In 2018 she was appointed professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where she heads the chair for design and representation. She has been a member of the Presidium of the Association of

German Architects (BDA) since 2019.

 

Benedict Bosch

Benedikt Bosch studied architecture and urban planning at the University of Stuttgart and the University of Oregon in the USA. Parallel to his studies, he designed and built the Bienenhus in Vorarlberg. In addition to other prizes, the building was awarded the “Houses Award” in 2012. He worked for Behnisch Architekten as an architect and project manager for five years. In 2011 he founded Yonder - Architecture and Design with Katja Knaus. He has been teaching since 2010. At the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, he has been a substitute professor for building construction and design since 2019 and is second chairman of the Association of German Architects Stuttgart / Middle Neckar (BDA).
