Biography:

Marta Badiola

Higher Degree in Architecture awarded by the E.T.S.A. (Higher Technical School of Architecture) of San Sebastián in 2003, with the grade of Merit in her End-of-Studies Project.

In 2000 she attended for a year with an Erasmus scholarship the Universität für Architektur in Karlsruhe, Germany.

In 2003, she begins her professional activity at Estudio Beldarrain with the architect Juan Beldarrain. In 2008, she founded together with Juan Beldarrain, Itziar Combarros, and Nestor Asurmendi Beldarrain Arquitectos Asociados and develops her professional activity at this firm until 2015, leading projects of different sizes, from his most initial phase to construction management. Their works have received several distinctions.

Among the projects in which she has intervened as Project Manager stands out the Carmen Martín Gaite building for the Carlos III University of Madrid, the first educational building in Spain with LEED Platinum sustainability certification.

In 2015, she founded pura arquitectura.

Marta Badiola founded pura arquitectura in Donostia to work in sustainable and close architecture. She understands architecture as a suit tailored to each client. She works on their needs and desires taking care of the details and avoiding conventional solutions.

She bets on design, functionality, and innovation, always adapted to every budget.
