Biography:
Born in 1978 in Fes, Driss Kettani has spent his childhood in Côte d’Ivoire before coming to Morocco in 1996 and studying at the Ecole Nationale d’Architecture of Rabat, Morocco where he graduated in 2003. After some collaborations, he opened his office in Casablanca in 2005, working on some educational, housing, office projects and furniture design.
In parallel to his own projects, he collaborated with friends and partners Saad El Kabbaj and Mohamed Amine Siana in projects including Taroudant University (completed in 2010) or the Technology School of Guelmim which has been short-listed for the Aga Khan Architecture Award and has won the Archmarathon Award in 2015.
He has also been awarded the Mimar Sinan Prize in Istanbul in 2016 with his 2 partners. His works have been exhibited in New York, Milan, Melbourne, Paris, Shangai.He teached in the summer workshop Wave 2014 at IUAV Venice University and gave lectures in Morocco, Italy, Lebanon, France.
