Ivo Tavares is an architectural photographer based in Aveiro, Portugal, who is recognized for his compelling imagery that highlights the beauty and innovation of Portuguese architecture and villa projects. Born in 1984 in Amarante, Tavares has been captivated by visual arts since childhood, leading him to pursue a photography career.
He began formal training at the Portuguese Institute of Photography in Porto in 2003 and transitioned into professional photography as an independent photojournalist in 2008. In 2011, he founded Ivo Tavares Studio, where he focuses on architectural photography, collaborating with many emerging architects to showcase their villa works.
Tavares's photography has been featured in various national and international publications, helping to promote contemporary architectural practices. He is also a trainer at the Portuguese Institute of Photography, sharing his expertise with aspiring photographers.
